Concerning Scribe Artemis

Artemis Janus Pezz was born in Cklepstomania. His father, a world renowned cat burglar, and his mother, a demoiselle spoiled by the servants she employed, were killed when he was the tender age of four. Artemis was mature far beyond his years, with the intellect of a twenty-five year old.

Having become an orphan, the government sent him to a boarding school run by the sock puppet guild. He escaped and fled to Austria, where he was enslaved by Von Karayon to make clarinet reeds.

Freedom from this forced servitude came in the form of Enoch Brasso Smeavey, a peculiar man, with even more peculiar ways. He took Artemis to a land called Canada, where he was introduced to a giant of a man named Tiny Tim, under whom Artemis lived, learned and trained for just over a year.

One of the greatest skills that he honed was his ability to write, which has since become one of his favorite pastimes. After surviving the Great North Continental crash, he traveled south through what is now the United States, and is responsible for the naming of one of its best known rivers.

Artemis met the Brotherhood of Thaumaturgic Cartographers in Egypt, where they headed an archeological dig. He became a very close friend to Mustapha Djimbo Pez, who bestowed upon Artemis his last name. Mustapha hired Artemis to be his scribe, and to compose the notes of his journeys into stories and tales to be archived in his library.

Artemis has returned to Cklepstomania, and lives in his childhood home, where he spends his days writing, drawing, and categorizing. He enjoys chocolates and a fine read. He is currently the curator of the largest library in the country, which has recently added a western wing to house it’s newly acquired Cabinet of Mysteries. He is fifteen.
