‘Tis Himself

Mustapha Djimbo Pez was born in Lapland, his father a government servant, and his mother a reindeer herder, folksinger, and craftsperson. His wanderlust began at age nine when, on the grand tour aboard the steam packet “City of Valparaiso,” he was swept overboard by a freakishly huge wave. Rescued by the illusive and mysterious Enoch Brasso Smeavey, his future of anomalies, and adventures was assured.

An accomplished musician, he has performed around the world as a member of the Congress of Wonders Light Orchestra. He has trekked the world’s arid desert dunes and wadi’s with only a camel named Tancred for a companion. His fine art graces the castles of kings, the cottages of commoners, and t-shirts fronts the world over.

A charter member of the Brotherhood of Thaumaturgic Cartographers, he and his fellows map society’s borderlands and fringes, seek and secret away treasures, and plant the seeds of mirth and mischief throughout the known and the unknown worlds.

He is managing director of the Grand Hibernian Aerial Steam Navigation Party Limited and is chief curator of both the Thimblerig Research, Secret Museum of the Unknowable, and the Cabinet of Mysteries. He consults regularly with his chief scribe, young Artemis Janus Pezz.

He lives in a manor house on an island in an unmapped region of the Pacific Ocean, and is fond of chocolates and hula girls.
